Community input survey for Voter Approved Child Care and Out of School Time Fund
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with Travis County!

On November 5, 2024, Travis County voters approved a 2.5 cent tax rate increase per $100 valuation on property taxes. The money from these property taxes will be collected in a special fund by Travis County. This fund will be approximately $75 million and will go towards a new program in Travis County to:
- Increase access to affordable and high-quality child care and out of school time programming for children and families.
- Support and strengthen the child care and out of school time system
The purpose of this survey is to learn from Travis County residents about their needs and experiences with child care and afterschool and summer programs. The results from this survey will be included in a Community Input Summary and will be used to inform planning for the voter approved child care and out of school time fund. The Community Input Summary will be made available to public.

It is your choice to participate in this survey and you may skip any question you do not want to answer. This survey is anonymous, and you will not be asked for your personal contact information.

Survey responses will be reviewed to identify common themes, community priorities and community identified needs. Survey responses will be reported all together (in aggregate). Travis County may use quotes from survey responses in community presentations and/or in the previously mentioned Community Input Summary.

SECTION THREE: This section has a question to learn more about your thoughts regarding eligibility requirements for families. One eligibility requirement will be that all families reside in Travis County in order to qualify. Travis County is researching additional considerations for eligibility requirements as well. One government entity that provides child care and out of school time assistance is the state of Texas.
In order to qualify for state funded assistance, a family must have a household income at / below 85% state median income ($87,731 for a family of 4). Choose one:
