Read first: About SYEP
Each summer, for 5 or 7 weeks, eligible youth ages 14–17 (and up to age 22 for those with disabilities) are matched with work opportunities across a variety of sectors. Youth are paid $13/hour with funds from our program at no expense to partner host sites. Youth work 20 hours/week from Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm. After applying and completing the eligibility screening process, qualified youth participate in job readiness training. Participants receive mentorship, hands-on experience, and exposure to professional environments that prepare them for future employment.
